Many quality measures for healthcare function at the level of a population, with analysis often delayed months or even years after the event. To impact the quality of individual patient care in real-time, while preserving the ability to monitor a population, may require new approaches to current metrics.
In this presentation we would like to open a discussion on how BPM+ might be used to measure and improve patient care, using screening for colorectal cancer as the example. We invite the audience to share their thoughts and experience on how this BPM+ can provide meaningful feedback to behaviors of both providers and patients.

What are the Building Blocks Necessary to Realize Agile Healthcare Delivery

Business, healthcare, and IT are all changing at breakneck pace, yet the systems and approaches that the market sector historically have taken do little to position us to be able to keep pace with that change.  Interoperability is the latest groundswell being looked at to address these challenges, but exactly what pieces will help us achieve both business goals and technical excellence.  This panel will explore the role of FHIR, BPM+ Health, CQL, cloud, adaptive architecture, and model-driven systems and the roles they play in improving care, fostering a seamless care experience, and adjusting our IT and infrastructure to address these challenges.

Panelists Include:

Viet Nguyen, MD
